A little about me…
The woods have been my home from my earliest memories. The perfection of pine song and the trills of birds melding with the scamper of daily forest life. I learned to ride horses, fish and stay out of the way of bears, as well as start and put out fires. Not every girl can boast Smokey the Bear as a father, but I am just one such girl.
I have authored and published a children’s story, spearheaded many formal and not so formal events, but spent most of my adult life being a mom and wife, which I have loved. I am now branching out just a bit to explore the possibilities of helping other folks bring order and peace to their own spaces. To discover, if you will, who they are and how they operate so they can know if having minimal wall coverings or antique quilts will best suit them.
Bears have dens and rabbits their burrows, but are our spaces as well planned and perfect for us as theirs are for them? It is my aim to make it so.
My Inspiration?
The forest and meadows are a next level of perfection. They are different with each season, even their sounds and scents. If I were to choose the perfect dwelling for myself I might decide on a cabin or a cottage. I don’t have the ability to live in either of those, but I can make my house feel as though I do. I am inspired to take the dwelling that is very common or “cookie-cutter” and help change it so when a person enters, they feel like they have
stepped into their perfect environment. People are very much like plants that move. Have you ever read a plant’s tag? How much sun it does or doesn’t like, how much water, how much space…? How many times have we purchased a plant and put it in the ground where we think it should go, but just watched it struggle? Most times, if we just dig up the plant and put it in a better spot, it will then flourish. Sometimes all people need to flourish is a change in environment too.
